Commercial use of residential areas

Letter January 06, 2015
Commercial use of these areas can be source of large-scale disaster, ending in loss of material as well as of life

CHARSADDA: The district administration of Charsadda, particularly the deputy commissioner, is requested to immediately deter people from the residential areas of Charsadda, particularly from the urban parts of the district from using residential areas for commercial purposes.

On the one hand, these people create problems for others living in the area, and on the other, carrying out commercial activity in a residential area is against the law. How can people utilise land meant for residential purposes for commercial means? The commercial use of these areas can be a source of a large-scale disaster, ending in a loss of material as well as that of life. Before any untoward incident takes place, it is requested that the district administration takes immediate steps in this connection.
