He would be playing his first game against British player Alex von Blrek.
Riaz, who has earlier competed in the U11 category, will be representing the country for the first time in the U13 category at the British Open Junior Squash Championship and hopes to win some laurels for the country.
“I’m working hard day and night to earn a good name for my country in the field of squash,” said Riaz.
“Pakistan has produced many squash legends and I hope that someday I can see my name up there too.”
Riaz started off his career under the guidance of Director Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Mohibullah Khan at the PSB Squash Academy in the Qayyum Stadium Complex and received special training from coaches Pervaiz Ali, Shehzad Mohib and Adil Khan.
He has participated in a number of national and regional tournaments, including the Chief of Air Staff Junior Squash Championship, and bagged distinctive positions.
The teenager is following a hectic training schedule with coach Falak Niaz in order to put up a strong fight at the British Open.
Besides being a talented and budding star of squash, Riaz is an outstanding student of the Peshawar Model School for Boys.
Keeping in view Riaz’s potential in squash, his school’s administration is extending full support to him to help polish his talent.

Salaam im a big fan of squash as i grew up watching the likes of pakistani legends like janghir khan and jansher khan, l like to say what happened to squash pakistan in the past 30yrs.Where did the next legends went or going to come from y did pakistan squash association invest in squash?
