Njhp Accident: AJK premier offers package for victims

MUZAFFARABAD: Prime Minster of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Chaudhry Abdul Majeed announced on Friday a compensation package of the Rs0.4 million for the heirs of each of the victims of the accident at Neelum Jehlum Hydroelectric Project (NJHP). A Chinese engineer and three Pakistani labourers were killed when a shuttering of under-construction wall of NJHP at Nowseri intake site collapsed on Wednesday. PM Majeed made the announcement during his visit of NJHP site. He said the workers who gave their lives for the vital power project were national heroes. The AJK premier further said that everyone working on NJHP was contributing towards development of Pakistan.
