Security forces arrest 65 suspects in Peshawar

Police sources say 15 of the arrested suspects are Afghan refugees

PESHAWAR: With security forces working round the clock to apprehend anyone linked to banned outfits, 65 suspects were arrested from different areas of Peshawar during the last 24 hours, Radio Pakistan reported on Friday.

Police sources said 15 of the arrested suspects were Afghan refugees.

Arms and ammunition including one Kalashnikov, 52 pistols and hundreds of rounds were also seized during these raids.

The city witnessed one of bloodiest massacres on December 16 when gunmen of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan mounted an attack on Army Public School and killed over a 100 students.
