PESHAWAR: This is with reference to Fahd Husain’s article published on December 21 titled “Sharif, Sharif and us”. I would disagree somewhat with the writer and argue that both the Sharifs are doing a tremendous job in their respective spheres of influence.
The Sharif who has the public mandate is trying his best to put together a political consensus on whatever needs to be done now to tackle the terrorism threat, especially since we should realise that a single political party cannot face this monster alone. As for the uniformed Sharif, he is doing what he does best and is showing himself to be a true professional and patriotic general.
