President approves appointment of Justice Noor Meskanzai as chief justice BHC

President Mamnoon signed the summary on advice of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif

QUETTA: President Mamnoon Hussain on Wednesday approved the appointment of Justice Muhammad Noor Meskanzai as the Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court.

According to a statement issued by the President House, the president signed a summary confirming Justice Meskanzai on the advice of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Justice Meskanzai is the senior most judge of BHC, and will take charge once the incumbent chief justice Ghulam Mustafa Mengal retires on December 24.

Earlier on December 1o, the Judicial Commission of Pakistan had recommended the appointment of Meskanzai. He will serve as BHC CJ till September 2018.
