MITHI: Two more children died on Saturday due to the merciless drought in Tharparkar, Express News reported.

The total death toll for the day rose to three after the deaths of a five-year-old girl and a one-year-old boy in the civil hospital in Mithi.

Further, the provincial health minister and secretary health were on a three-day visit to the area of the drought affected victims and the hospital.

The two government representatives listened to complaints of the people affected by the drought, as well as doctors -- but no action as such was taken.

The death toll in the drought-affected district has risen to 124 since October 1. However, health officials do not confirm many of these deaths, especially the ones occurring in the villages.
