The plight of Hub’s residents

Letter November 28, 2014
Unfortunately, most people in Hub are unaware of their rights and continue to face injustice at various levels

LASBELA: Hub is facing many political, social and economic problems. There are hindrances to seeking jobs and developing sound educational facilities. It is economically one of the important cities in Balochistan, the majority of its population is Muslim while Hindus and Christians are in the minority . Its political representatives and stakeholders seem to have no significant role in the development of the community.

Unfortunately, most people in Hub are unaware of their rights and continue to face injustice at various levels. The citizens of Hub are being treated unfairly as they are not given the EOBI insurance or any kind of health security. The city is an important industrial area, and is known as mini-Karachi where more than 200 factories are running. But ironically, the locals of the city are deprived of job opportunities and their due rights by the state.
