According to reports, the three players suspended by the ICC, Salman, Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif, were due to submit their lawyers’ details and other relevant documents by November 19 to the governing body but Salman asked for an extension as his legal team is not finalised yet.
Amir, represented by Hamid Karim, and Asif, with Elizabeth Robertson as his lawyer, had already sent the relevant details to the ICC. However, Salman had to request for three extra days because, according to reports, the batsman faced problems following his lawyer Aftab Gul’s refusal to represent the cricketer, citing possible biasness on the ICC’s part in the forthcoming hearing.
The hearing takes place in Doha from January 6.
