Another heist: Man robbed of Rs0.4m outside bank

RAWALPINDI: Armed robbers looted cash and valuables from a man outside a bank in broad daylight near Chandni Chowk on Monday. Three suspected robbers intercepted Malik Zubair, an accountant at a tobacco company, after he came out of a private bank with Rs0.4 million and was heading back to his office in a car, said a company official. The official said it was later discovered through CCTV footage that one of the robbers’ accomplices was keeping an eye on Zubair inside the bank. The incident took place at around noon but the Sadiqabad police only accepted the application from the complainant at around 7pm and asked them to come back for registering the case today.
