Pak-Turkmenistan: Ministers discuss energy matters

On arrival at Ashgabat, the minister participated in the International Oil and Gas Conference/Exhibition.

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Resources Jam Kamal Khan met with Vice Premier/In charge of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources of Turkmenistan, Baymyrat Hojamuhammedov and discussed various issues of enhancing bilateral cooperation in the field of energy. The minister along with a delegation is currently in Turkmenistan to attend the meeting of the Steering Committee of Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project.  According to a message, the two sides expressed satisfaction on the current pace of cooperation and also discussed different options as to how Pakistan’s oil and gas exploration and production sector can participate in Turkmenistan. On arrival at Ashgabat, the minister participated in the International Oil and Gas Conference/Exhibition.
