Anti-dengue drive: EPA seals six premises in Pindi

As part of the drive, the EPA teams inspected 213 tyre shops, 76 junkyards

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) teams during an anti-dengue drive inspected 315 sites and sealed six premises in different areas during the last one week. 


As part of the drive, the EPA teams inspected 213 tyre shops, 76 junkyards, two plant nurseries and 24 under construction sites, EPA District Officer Mian Muhammad Nawaz said on Friday.


During inspection of the dengue breeding sites, the teams found 265 places satisfactory where SOPs against dengue were being followed while 50 potential breeding points were removed by the teams.


He said that the teams were also updating dengue progress images and details on dengue android software. He said that they were utilising all available resources to stem the spread of the dengue virus.


He said that like other directorates of the EPA, the dengue directorate was also working efficiently in all parts of the district to cope with the virus.
