It would be great if media highlights achievements of youngsters who have brought about positive change, innovation
KARACHI: Recently, I downloaded an application on my smartphone meant for providing telephone numbers of thousands of educational institutions, hospitals, restaurants, courts, government institutions, banks, cinemas, etc. from all over Pakistan. I found this application to be extremely useful. However, I noticed that only a few thousand people have downloaded it.
I contacted the application developers and asked them why this was so and they told me that they do not have a huge marketing budget, therefore they are unable to market it properly. It would be great if our electronic media and newspapers highlight the achievements of our youngsters, who have brought about positive change and innovation, but who do not always have sufficient resources to market their products.
