Three militants were killed during exchange of fire between security forces and miscreants in Aloch, Tehsil Puran of Shangla district on Tuesday.
In neigbouring Swat district, terrorists opened fire on security forces in Matta tehsil on Saturday night, injuring a soldier. In retaliatory operations, security forces killed at least seven militants in different areas of Swat on Sunday.
This was followed by the arrest of 120 suspected militants from the Shokh Dara area of Matta tehsil.
A curfew was imposed in the area as security forces mounted the retaliatory operation.
