MANSEHRA: A medical officer was arrested for violent behaviour towards a lady health worker of Shergarh Basic Health Unit (BHU). Police quoted Fauzia Bibi as saying that Dr Jamshed, the in charge of the BHU, came to her and started behaving rudely over some official work. When she asked him to behave, he allegedly slapped her and used abusive language. On the other hand, Dr Jamshed accused Fauzia and a ward orderly of attacking him when he warned her of disciplinary action for neglecting her duties. The police registered a case and arrested the doctor. However, officers of the health department are trying to strike a compromise between the two.
