“A soldier embraced martyrdom and three other personnel were wounded,” an FC spokesperson said in a statement issued on Friday evening.
“The FC personnel were chasing miscreants when they came under attack by Iranian forces. It was a targeted attack on Pakistani forces,” the spokesperson added. One FC vehicle was completely destroyed due to intense firing by Iranian forces.
Iranian border guards continued firing for six hours. However, Pakistani forces did not retaliate to the offensive of the neighbouring country.
“It is a clear border violation and [against] international law. It is also against the Pak-Iran border agreement,” the spokesperson said. “The firing started on late Thursday night and continued on Friday,” he added.
The spokesperson further said Iranian border guards on Friday trespassed two kilometers inside Pakistani territory in Nokundi area of Chagai district in Balochistan and harassed residents of the area.
Iranian forces raided the house of Ghaus Baksh Notezai in Lashkar-e-Ahb village in the Chagai district and took away a vehicle and some items.
“The Iranian forces had taken away a vehicle and other [items] from the house,” an FC spokesperson said.
Inspector General Frontier Corps (FC) Ejaz Shahid said Pakistani forces will answer any Iranian attack in the future.
“Pakistani forces will respond to Iranian forces in the future if they invade or carry out any attack on Pakistani territory,” he said.

On Thursday, Iran issued a veiled threat to Pakistan of possibly crossing the border to contain terrorists if Pakistan fails protect its border and stop terrorists from entering Iran, Iranian state media reported.
It said Iranians will chase terrorists wherever they are found inside Pakistani territory.
Two Iranian border guards killed in clashes with rebels
Iran said on Friday that two of its border guards had been killed in clashes with rebels along the border with Pakistan on Thursday night, ISNA news agency reported.
"Several rebels" also died in the Thursday night fighting, ISNA quoted a military official as saying, adding that a car and weapons were seized. It was not immediately clear whether this was linked to the cross border firing and shelling by Iranian forces which resulted in the death of a Pakistani soldier.
The clashes erupted in Iran's restive province of Sistan-Baluchistan, where attacks by rebels earlier this month killed five people, four of them security forces.
Iranian media said 14 people were arrested in connection with those attacks.

Iran should know this is not iraq and congrats to soldier who was matyred by iran. The best answer is to make gawadur 100% operational and crumple the iran economy.
Unfortunately many among us doesn't have an ability to read between the situation. The truth is totally opposite.
@abc: How can they fire intensively because they are using fires in Kashmir!!!!
@Kamal: as i can see there are so many reasonable people in Pakistan. but Ur govt should do more to control the borders with our country.
Iran has legitimate concern at the border. Pakistan government need to address them now.
Pakistan should learn to live with neighbour.India Afghanistan and now Iran are now under the terrorist target of Pakistan.Pakistan must dismantle the infrastructure of terrorist organizations.America violating ur sovereignty and independent by killing citizen certainly some terrorist also but this is not way.
@Pakistani: "LL Afghans, Iranians, Bengalis and other economic migrants need to be repatriated". Last we knew it was the Pakistanis that were running from one country to another as economic migrants. Lol!
@Ahmed: "...........and secondly our religion Islam prohibits fighting between Muslims." Really? get outta town!
I think the world has forgotten that Pakistan is a NUCLEAR ARMED STATE..its time to remind it.IF Iran ever tries to mess with pakistani forces again we should hit them back with full force...if that triggers into a war we should immediately obliterate them.Israel and the US would be fine with this,Russia and China may have a problem but then again no one really cares about Iran or pakistan
To Pakistani leaders and other Pakistani friends iran was here 100 years before a country named Pakistan exists. Therefore respect it when even talking about it. Conserning military power you are not even aware of what you are talking about. If you are thinking the nuclear superiority it is also not in your favor anymore! The only suggestion that I have is to re calculate your relations with Saudis. Their gift for you was nothing except extremism in all over your country. Your alignment with Americans is also make you like a toy in their hands that easily enter anywhere in your land and kill your citizens with drones.
Iran shows Pakistan how a strong nuclear state should behave.
sad and strange to see some pakistanis supporting iran. Why dnt you move to iran if you love them so much? its pakistan you are living in and no other country will let you do things you can do in your own country.
It makes me so angry reading that now countries likes Iran & Afghanistan voilate Pakistan border , and Iranians says they will enter whereever they wants inside Pakistan.
Pakistan should station more troops along Pak/Iran border, maybe invite our american friends to take over this duty :-)
Send a clear message back to Tehran that its not acceptable that they volilate Pakistan border and soveriegnity.
Our army should stop incidents like these in future with brute force or nobody will respect Pak army
Pak army should respond to any aggression from any border with same might as it does against India..We are not a banana republic.. Unfortunately persistent drone attacks have allowed other states to pursue the same strategy as US thereby allowing our sovereignty to be violated by anyone whosoever wishes..
Pakistani forces will respond to Iranian forces in the future if they invade or carry out any attack on Pakistani territor....enough a statement to shut the iranians
Those who assume that Iran is weak and isolated should drink some water and realize the reality which is that Pakistan's land is used by the terrorists to launch attacks to the neighbors. Iran has shown its strong principles over past 30 years over which they do not compromise. They have built their strength despite being pressed globally by not only west but also middle east. Pakistan must look into the causes that are deteriorating our relationships.
Even China doesn't respect Pakistan.... However, they don't want to ruin their business.
Pakistan needs to be more responsible.
Pakistan should send a stern-warning to Iran. They are under-estimating Pakistan. If they are so brave than they should have done something when Israel sent a drone to them few month ago. This kind of behavior from a neighbor country (which happens to be a Muslim) shows that they are no different than terrorist "ISIL" --- murdering fellow Muslims.
List of punitive actions Pakistan can take against Iran in retaliation: 1. Retaliate against Iranian border guards 2. Kill any Iranian border guard who illegally crosses the border into Pakistan 3. Seal its border with Iran 4. Ban cross border movement of goods and people across the Pak-Iran border 5. Ban Iranian imports into Pakistan 6. Shut down Iranian consulates in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta 7. Shut down Iranian cultural centres in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta 8. Restrict Iranian diplomats to the Islamabad Capital Territory 9. Ban Iranian citizens from entering Pakistan Iran is already isolated in the world, it can ill afford further isolation by alienating Pakistan, its neighbour.
Not a clear picture. Not at all. No mention of two Iranian border guards killed. by the Pakistani Govt. Who killed them? They shot themselves dead? Smugglers? Terrorists? Jundullah crossing into Iran? Pakistani officials are not truthful. Iranian border guards do not do stupid things on a whim. Instigate International incidents. Pak Govt. does not have it's writ anywhere. Everyone knows that it does not control anything in Balochistan.
Pakistan should set her house in order, else such incidences are bound to increase.
i strongly condemn the attack by Iranian Border guards which is the against the international law. But i would like to point out here that i have not seen a single comment regarding anyone questioning why they attacked ? To elighten the bright minds here, Iran is being attacked by terrorists from the Pakistani soil since last several years. We need to put our house in order before pointing fingers at others.
Secondly my war hungry countrymen if we dont change ourself and our mindset we might have to fight wars with all our neighbours..
I think Pakistani side is just confused as to wonder what was the compelling reason behind this adventure. Not responding, I think, its a show of patience and to avoid meaningless loss of life on both sides. But Iran should not take advantage of this in future.
Pakistan is not retaliating doesn't mean it is not having capability to respond to any aggression over its soil but it is showing patience because it is in the interest of both countries and secondly our religion Islam prohibits fighting between Muslims. No doubt Pakistan's army is much more capable of Iran's.I say that Pakistan Government should allow army to hit Iran back so that they never dare to do such an act again !
The army must respond with intensive fire power, they should not dare to cross border again.
I would like to tell our Iranian brothers that behaving in this manner is not in their interest.
Iran has few friends. It is regarded as a rogue state, a part of the axis of evil.
Learn to live with your neighbours.
Your army is no match for Pakistan's.
Our relationship with Iran was better when the Shah was in power, and before Saudi and Iranian backed/funded mullahs started running riot in Pakistani.
Its time to secure our borders - ALL Afghans, Iranians, Bengalis and other economic migrants need to be repatriated.
If Iran wants to be India's proxy now, like Afghanistan, I think we should invite our American friends to help us monitor the border.
Everyone is sick of these Iranian mullahs - I am sure the poor Iranian people more than anyone else - time for their corrupt hypocritical regime to GO!
RIP FC Shaheed.
The Iranians need to cool it, worry about the other border, AND the drop in oil prices, Thanks to our friends in Saudi Arabia.
