Ailing health: Sobho Gianchandani moves to Karachi

Gianchandani is amongst the few Hindu intellectuals who refused to migrate to India after partition

LARKANA: Comrade Sobho Gianchandani, 94, was shifted to a private hospital in Karachi for treatment. He had been suffering from high fever for a week. Pakistan Peoples Party patron-in-chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari took notice of his illness after media reports and directed the party leaders to inquire about his health. Later, a ventilator-equipped ambulance of Chandka Medical College Hospital was sent to him along with a doctor, Hola Ram, which took him to Karachi. He is a renowned writer, intellectual and politician, and is also known as the ‘Man of Mohenjo Daro’. Gianchandani is amongst the few Hindu intellectuals who refused to migrate to India after partition.
