US drone strike kills 8 in North Waziristan

Four others got injured after two missiles were fired on a house and a car in Bari Mail area of Shawal

SHAWAL: At least eight people were killed and four got injured in a drone strike in North Waziristan late on Monday, Express News reported.

The unmanned aircraft fired two missiles at a house and a car in the Bari Mail area of Shawal in North Waziristan, killing eight people and injuring four others.

It was the fourth drone strike in last two weeks in the tribal belt.

At least five people were killed and two injured in a similar attack in North Waziristan Agency on Sunday.

Likewise, no less than four suspected militants, including two foreigners were killed on September 28 in a drone attack in South Waziristan.

Earlier on September 24, at least 10 suspected militants, including Uzbek fighters, were killed by a US drone in the Data Khel area of North Waziristan.

Almost instantaneous news on every drone strike but almost no information about Pakistan's own offensive -- why is that?
