Veteran politician Makhdoom Javed Hashmi was heckled by a group of doctors and students who encircled his car, raised slogans against him and temporarily blocked his exit on Friday.
The incident took place when Hashmi went to the boys’ hostel of Nishtar Medical College for funeral prayers. Hashmi was suspended by PTI last month after levelling serious allegations against the PTI chief Imran Khan.
When Hashmi’s convoy reached the hostel a group of around 100 doctors and students – who had also come to attend the funeral prayers – surrounded his car and started chanting ‘daaghi, daaghi’ – a slogan first raised against him by PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi in the party’s Karachi rally.
Several members of the crowd also tried to attack Hashmi and pelted his vehicle and convoy with stones. Later, female students also joined the protesters and kept his vehicle from moving out.
However, tensions cooled down later and the protesters cleared his way, when Hashmi promised that he would not rejoin PML-N.

Hashmi Sahib knew full well that there are certain parties where dissent is not tolerated at all. All dissenting voices are crushed, ridiculed, insulted, attacked, verbally and physically assaulted. On the other hand there are parties where people come and go but there are no dictatorial blood feuds. New Pakistan has a revolutionary party where lifelong dictator and nobody can even breath freely without his will. All lota and political orphans can come but not leave if they want to have a normal life.
History is on Hashmi's side, he doesn't care these non serious elements. The way he exposed these anarchists and stooges of dark forces is what matters and will be remembered. Every great man who stood with truth has gone through this stage.

Above all now u admit that what Hashmi is telling is right. If PTI leaders are not facing situation like this it does not mean will not happen to them.Sooner or later happen to them with more intensity and they will find no place to hide.
The thing that sadden me is Hashmi had a chance to take a respectable exit from politics, but he selected the to be kicked out. I considered him a respectable/different politician but he is not different, fighting for his politics with self respect for himself.

In civilized society it is called double standard. I do not know what is the definition of such behaviour in PTI . It's amazing how people say that whoever doesn't see eye-to-eye with PTI are heckled and harassed! Have you gone against the PML-N folk? Did you read Mariam Nawazs' tweets? Do you know what the Sharif did when PAT didn't see eye-to-eye with them in Model Town? It is just truly amazing that some Facebook rants and sloganeering is upsetting so many of you 'educated' lot when the N-league has murdered people who didn't see "eye-to-eye" with them.

Hashmi sb! The best way for you was to announce retirement from politics when you feel differences with PTI, now you have to face un-pleasant situation every where, to add fuel to the flame you put scores of allegation on PTI and its senior members on daily basis. The question is that if all your allegations are supposed to be true then why you remain part of that dirty politics upto the last stage? These allegation only caused to reduce your credibility nothing else.

During his last press conferance, PML(N) people sitting next to him are the same who were abusing him. when he was in PTI. These students are NOT PTI workers. 99% would not have attended a PTI meeting let alone hold a party post. These protests reflect the sentiments of the general masses, not only PTI workers.

Idealism has led to fanaticism and mob mentality which are detrimental to creation of NAYA PAKISTAN. Logically speaking, KPK should be a role model of good governance. Yet in efforts to burry another massive corruption of Rs.2.0 billion, the KPK government removed an upright government officer making him OSD.

Problem with PTI as they think themselves only honest and others are corrupt. How much geathering of corrupt leaders in PTI from SMQ to Tareen and Azam sawati with stories in newspapers. Hashmi was BAGHI when he joined PTI but now he is DAGI for PTI when he disclosed script of London Plan.

@YP Protesting and hackling some one are two different things. Stopping some one's car is not right regardless of opinion so its not matter of what he expect. This behavior will cost IK dearly.
Not even old men and funerals are safe from PTI bandits. There are some places and ocassions when there should be no politics, hatred and venom. However, this New Pakistan culture is going to come back and bite them in the rear.
