Alleged gangsters killed in shoot-outs

Sharae Noor Jahan police claim to have killed a robber when he was looting people behind the Farooq-e-Azam Masjid

Five alleged criminals, including members of a Lyari-based gang and robbers, were killed on Thursday.


The Rangers conducted a raid in Shahbaig Lane, Lyari. A Rangers spokesperson said the suspects opened fire as they entered the lane. In retaliation, an alleged gangster Rafique was killed. He was associated with the Jabbar Jhingo group of the gang. His two accomplices, namely Sharif and Hanif, were taken into custody.

In another encounter at Mirza Adam Khan Road on Thursday, three alleged gangsters were killed in a shootout with the Rangers. The suspects were identified as Shahid Patni, Hanif and Jamal. Rangers believe that they were associated with the Faisal Pathan faction of the Uzair Baloch group.

Meanwhile, Sharae Noor Jahan police claim to have killed a robber on Thursday when he, along with his two partners, was looting people behind the Farooq-e-Azam Masjid. According to SHO Shafiq Baloch, one of the robbers, identified as Asif, was shot and arrested.
