ISLAMABAD: A fight broke out between two lawmakers from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) during a meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Communications on Tuesday when a PTI MNA reportedly shouted ‘Go Nawaz, Go’ while the meeting was in progress.

The meeting was convened at the Parliament Lodges to discuss ongoing work on the Lyari Expressway. Muttahida Qaumi Movement MNA Sufyan Yousaf was presiding over the meeting as National Highway Authority officials briefed the lawmakers present. Some lawmakers joked with PTI MNAs Salimur Rehman and Hamidul Haq, saying, ‘Come Imran, Come’. The meeting participants said Hamidul Haq responded by saying, ‘Go Nawaz, Go’ and a brawl subsequently broke out.

The meeting participants said Hamidul Haq punched PML-N MNA Sarzameen and Haq’s shirt pockets were torn off in the melee. Sources said Sarzameen visited the dispensary at the Parliament Lodges as he was bleeding slightly from a blow to his face. However, Sarzameen denied these reports when speaking with The Express Tribune. Haq claimed that he punched Sarzameen as he was hooting at the female PTI workers present at the sit-in in Islamabad. He said he had minor bruises on his hands from the scuffle.

Both MNAs said they are ready to meet to bury any misunderstandings.

so who was the loser: the people of Karachi as I am sure the discussion on the Lyari Expressway got suspended due to this childish behavior. Why can't we just put all these people in a room and tell them to fight it out...something like the WWF royal rumble... :) i am sure the common man would enjoy it.

Does PTI really wants to let power go? Its member have resigned from all national assembly seats as election from all over the country was rigged, except in KP where they have government. They have submit resignation from National assembly but still would like to continue to be part of National assembly. If this is not double standard/talk then what it is? How long these politicians will fool people?
