Clashes in the capital: Another murder case lodged against PM Nawaz

Lodged on PTI's complaint regarding deaths of two PAT activists during clashes with law enforcement officials

Police have registered another murder case against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and several other ministers and top police and administration officials, this time on a complaint lodged by PTI regarding the deaths of two PAT activists during clashes with law enforcement officials in Islamabad’s Red Zone.


“A case under charges of murder, attempt to murder, abetment and terrorism was registered on the complaint of Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Jahangir Tareen, Asad Umar, Arif Alvi, Shireen Mazari, Saifullah Niazi and Shafqat Mahmood,” president of Insaf Lawyers Forum’s Islamabad chapter Farrukh Dall told The Express Tribune on Monday.


Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Railways Minister Saad Rafique and other top-ranking officials have been named in the case alongside Premier Nawaz, he said.
