Thank you motorway police

Letter September 21, 2014
A policeman came to the van, inquired from passengers what was going on. He spoke to the driver and gave him a ticket.

ISLAMABAD: The National Highway and Motorway Police is said to be the most responsible police force in the country. Recently, I was travelling from Hyderabad to Khairpur Mirs by public transport. The driver of our van seemed to be driving in an erratic manner, as if he was inebriated or intoxicated. The lives of all the passengers were at risk because of his irresponsible behaviour. At Bhit Shah, close to the city of Hala, the van collided with a truck, which was passing next to the vehicle. One of the tyres blew and the side mirrors broke in this accident but our driver didn’t stop the vehicle.

While all this was happening, I used my cell phone to call the motorway police helpline and told the operator what was going on. The operator assured me that the lives of the 22 passengers on the van would be protected and that the police would soon be on its way to help us. When we reached the Naushahro Feroz Bypass, the motorways police managed to stop our van. A policeman came to the van and inquired from the passengers what exactly was going on. He then spoke to the driver and gave him a speeding ticket. After that the situation became much better. I am writing this letter to inform everybody of the good job done by the motorway police.
