QUETTA: A man killed his wife and her suspected lover for an alleged illicit relationship on the outskirts of Dera Allahyar on Friday.

According to Dera Allayar police, Abdul Hadi Sianch allegedly shot his wife and close relative Abdul Malik. Sianch suspected that his wife and Malik were having an illicit relation.

Sianch managed to escape from the scene after the double murder. “Police have started a manhunt in the area to arrest the culprit,” SHO Abdul Majeed told reporters.

Malik is said to be in his early 20s and a close relative of the murderer.

Hundreds of people—men and women, have so far been killed in the name of “honour” in Naseerabad and Jaffarabad districts of Balochistan.
