Making it illegal: Cattle markets, shisha banned for a month

Anyone found going against these bans will be tried under Article 188 of Pakistan Penal Code

The deputy commissioner has enforced Article 144 making it illegal to establish mini cattle markets in the city.


Many such mandis have mushroomed ahead of Eidul Azha in Saddar, Hayatabad and other areas of the city.

A ban on shisha smoking in restaurants, hotels, motels, canteens and all public places has also been imposed. Anyone found going against these bans will be tried under Article 188 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

The bans will remain enforced for a month in the entire city.
