The booming Pakistani music industry catering to growing talents has recently seen an increase in female musicians. From multitalented stars including Meesha Shafi to long term and prominent members of the industry such as Hadiqa Kiani, several female musicians have experienced sky rocketing careers. Each musician with their distinct voice and music has a unique style too and while some prefer sticking to classy traditional dressing others enjoy carrying a more modern chic look. Have a look at some of Pakistan’s already famous and growing musician styles:
Hadiqa Kiani: 2013’s best solo artist award winner, Kiani presents herself with a distinct look at every event. With a unique fashion philosophy, the singer wears noticeable and trendy eastern as well as western outfits that make her stand out. The evident hairdo and bold make up to liven up her look even more. Her image at the recent Pakistani Idol finale speaks for itself.
Meesha Shafi: The ‘Jugni’ and Waar star has become a style icon for her fans with her outrageously funky outfits. She seems to be a risk taker and her experimentation with new styles works for her as struts in them with confidence. Her love for street shopping with an occasional sprinkle of high end brands makes her a trendsetter with a defined sense of style.
Fariha Pervez: Amongst Pakistan’s leading female singers, Pervez has allowed her passion for music to let her become one of the leading names of the industry. Known to be a kindhearted and honest person who lavoids vanity and arrogance, the celebrity’s style is a true reflection of her character. She keeps her look simple and traditional which indicates her personal style.
Zoe Viccaji: The contemporary diva, who emerged as a success through her Coke Studio journey defines her style as one that is classy and elegant. She certainly lives up to her definition and maintains a well-planned sassy look. With hints of jewellery and makeup, she adds a bit of an edge to her look. The golden combo of her skilled music and chic personal style has enabled her to become one of the hottest style symbols of the industry.
Zeb Bangash: Member of the successful female duo Zeb and Haniya, who have made it big with their Coke Studio performances alongside some of the industries big names including Atif Aslam and Noori. Bangash’s style comes across of as a casual one with a mix of eastern and western as she usually doesn’t keep it too traditional or too modern. The singer’s soft features compliment her simple casual style making her a channel of grace and elegance.
