Moving forward: 10 development schemes approved

The District Development Committee (DDC) on Monday approved 10 development schemes costing an estimated Rs27 million.

SARGODHA: The District Development Committee (DDC) on Monday approved 10 development schemes costing an estimated Rs27 million. The decision was taken in a meeting presided by District Coordination Officer (DCO) Saqib Manan, Finance EDO Irfan Ahmed, Planning DO Hafiz Naseer Ahmed, Budget DO Ghulam Hussain Gondal and Education EDO Zafar Abbas. The meeting approved provision of filtered water at Nawaz Sharif Degree College at an estimated cost of Rs2.3 million, a centre for disabled children near Rehmatul Alemin Park at a cost of Rs9.5 million, renovation of Additional Superintendent of Police house at a cost of Rs0.6 million, construction of a road from Kot Momin, Bhabra bypass to Abadi Allah Bakhsh at a cost of Rs1.8 million and rehabilitation of a road from Chak34 to Chak 37. The meeting also approved Rs3.3 million for Government Municipal Corporation Istiqlalabad and Rs0.7 million for installation of a tracking system at rural health centres.
