Form of government

Letter August 25, 2014
Even the great Quaid-e-Azam thought that a presidential system suited Pakistan.

RAWALPINDI: If nothing else the long marches by Imran Khan and Dr Tahirul Qadri will have brought the realisation to us all that not all is well with our rulers and the electoral system that elects them. In a recent talk show, there was some discussion on the presidential form of government but this was perfunctory and did not go into much detail. In this context, please allow me to reveal to my countrymen that even the great Quaid-e-Azam thought that a presidential system suited Pakistan.
