Firing incident: Police officer among four wounded

Unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate firing at a restaurant in Defence Housing Authority

KARACHI: A police officer and four other people were wounded when unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate firing at a restaurant in Defence Housing Authority. Police said that the unidentified armed men had arrived at Eaton restaurant in Phase II and tried to walk into the family section of the restaurant. According to ASI Aqeel of the Defence police station, an exchange of harsh words took place between the unidentified young men and the waiters of the restaurant as the waiters tried to stop them from entering the family section. The officer said that the unidentified men returned and later came back to start indiscriminate firing before fleeing. As a result, ASI Ahmed Hussain of the Special Branch was injured among four people. They were all shifted to Jinnah hospital. A case has been registered.
