According to sources in Pakistan Rangers, the BSF has been firing mortars across the border in Charwa sector since 12:30am.
Spokesperson for Punjab Rangers said troops have responded to BSF’s "unprovoked firing".
The firing also left three women and a child injured, who were shifted to Combined Military Hospital, Sialkot for medical assistance.

@raj: Sadly, Indian "Reaction" time(U.S. Strategic Research Instt.) is way below standard procedure. That mean the "firing team" will be dead-in-Bunker before even start to find what happened.

Why can't Indians just keep to themselves?
Don't just pass statements of response....Mr. ISPR......Tell us how many are killed as a response.........which should be more than what PAKISTAN lost.
Indians have been doing this for a long time and their media and govt blames Pakistan Army for this just like Israel does it with Palestine. Pakistan reserve right to reply them a fitting reply. We common Pakistanis, supports any action against Indian Army.
All fierce patriots should immediately proceed to the border to do their bit. There are better things to shoot off than your mouths.

Pak military seriously needs to review its policy of cross-border terrorism which it has been pursuing for several decades as the Modi govt would respond massively on any border violation committed by Pakistan. This may lead to something big and result in more humiliation for Pakistan.
NS has no face to say anything as Pakistan Rangers suddenly started the firing first without any provocation and killed an indian BSF soldier and injured three. Its in Pakistan's interest to keep the LoC hot for 1. to infiltrate militants into Kashmir and 2. to keep the conflict alive to show the world about the problem. India has no such benefits hence its always the Pakistanis who initiate the firing.
We should strongly condemn the cowardly firing on innocent Pakistani s on loc.give the strong reply so they will pay the price as well.
It's obvious that some third party is causing this misunderstanding between the two sides . iM , LeT or T could anyone . Both sides should TALK directly to avoid such confusion .
At how many fronts Pakistan wants to fight ?
It is for every one to think think and draw honest conclusions. why is it that every time these two countries try to come close and resolve issues the border heats up. Bajpai ji went to Pakistan on a bus and political heads were trying to come close suddenly Kargil busted and peace was shattered to pieces. Manmohan Singh visited and soon after soldiers were beheaded and stone pelting storms with infiltration of terror blew in Kashmir. Now Mr Nawaz Sharif makes an honest effort to put thing in place but his visit on the invitation of Mr Modi was engulfed in a hate storm. As some signs of peace are raising heads with leaders meeting see the storm is again building up with charges of cross border firings. Press and media of both countries are reporting opposite things. All reasonable people should think that after all who are the people who benefit from these tensions and clashes.? Whose existence depends on this enmity of two countries? Look and also analyse why so many 'farishtas' of total revolution are in Pakistan. Sure we will get the answer. Are these games are not becoming obvious and now people do understand?

@hammad Mian. Yep that's what we said when our soldier was killed, day before yesterday and three more injured when they tried to recue him, bullets were fired upon them heavily. So yes now no more. Retaliate and answer back in their own language,
