3 cops held for kidnaping

Constables Imran, Nadeem and Munawaar had been sent to separate investigation cells.

Three police officials have been arrested for running a kidnapping gang.


Multan police spokesman Rana Idrees told newsmen that they were arrested in a raid for recovery of a kidnapping victim.

He said Sheikh Fayyaz, a resident of Chowk Gaddafi was kidnapped three days ago. He said the kidnappers had demanded Rs500,000 for his release. He said police raided the house of the suspects and arrested three persons. He said information obtained from them led them to arrest five other men. He said it was found that three of them were police constables.

He said constables Imran, Nadeem and Munawaar had been sent to separate investigation cells.
