LAHORE: The prime minister, along with his core cabinet ministers, visited the army’s General Headquarters (GHQ) on July 17 and was briefed about the latest progress made by the armed forces in the ongoing operation against terrorists. The prime minister reiterated all support to the armed forces and assured them that the government would further strengthen them and back them up in their fight of eliminating the extremist elements and terrorists throughout the country.
The armed forces are undertaking an extraordinary operation and in this crucial point of time, the government seems to be duly supporting it by authorising legislations, political support and symbolic gestures such as the GHQ visit. Such steps by the government are efforts to be appreciated as they go a long way in boosting the morale of the troops, since such moments occur once in a blue moon.
