SIALKOT: The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) resorted to unprovoked firing in Sialkot sector near the line of control (LoC) on Wednesday, Express News reported.

Following the attack, the Chenab Rangers fired back. The exchange of fire is said to be still ongoing.

On May 12 of this year, the Pakistan Army lodged a protest with Indian authorities on Sunday over what it said was another violation of ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC).

According to military officials, the protest was lodged after Indian troops resorted to ‘unprovoked firing’ at the Bhattal sector of the LoC.

@Yousuf A.: Indian media showed the killed and injured being carried by the soldiers. If india start the firing its unlikely they will get killed as they will secure themselves first and then start firing. Did Pak media show or report any pak soldiers injured or killed?

Secondly, Pakistan has 2 reasons for firing that Indians strongly believe - 1. to give cover to infiltrating terrorists and 2. to keep the issue alive for international attention. India has no such reasons. In fact, many in India suggest that LoC be converted into border so that at least there is peace on the border.

Such border skirmishes do not invoke nationalist passion in India. So far the collective public anger gathred (not nationalistic surge) only when the Indian soldiers were killed and beheaded by pakistan and before that during the Mumbai attack because both these were inhuman, barbaric acts.

Now, it may be possible that Indian soldiers retaliate after some time in some other sector killing pakistani soldiers as a revenge.... and this will go on and on... thats the tragedy.

Wonderfully explained @Yousuf A.

This is a media war both sides blame each other ! both medias accuse the other party ! kindly check this issue from a neutral point and try to find out the real truth !

Pakistan already has a lot on its plate currently to go bug on India , so its highly unlikely that the issue started from this side, but then again i need not to believe all that media says on both ends !
