The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) terminated the provincial assembly membership of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Muhammad Yaqoob Nadeem Sethi (PP-175) on Monday, Express News reported.
The decision was taken by an election tribunal on rigging allegations leveled against the MPA. The ECP issued a notification in this regard after the tribunal's decision.
The ECP also restored the membership of another Punjab assembly member, PML-N's Tariq Mehmood Bajwa (PP-170). Bajwa, who had earned a BA from Bahauddin Zakariya University, had earlier been accused of having a fake degree.
His membership was restored after the Supreme Court decided in his favour.

Memberships of several parliamentarians of many parties have been terminated on rigging and bogus degree issues. No-one of mainstream parties like PML-N, PPP, PTI, PML-Q and MQM are spared. Many cases are pending against MNAs & MPAs of these and other parties. Almost all parties and candidates try to manipulate elections. Rigging takes place from all sides in Pakistan.

The news of restoration does not get a headline but termination does get it. well that's business of media anyway.
But I thought the ecp is useless and doesn't work. Isn't that the whole point of the most pointless long march in history? To browbeat the judiciary into taking up a case it cannot constitutionally rule on except in appeal?

Another question begging to be asked from the senseless worshipers of a personality cult - Why is it that the likes of Shafqat Mehmood, Sheeda, Jehangir Tareen and a host of other PTI legislators have invoked stay orders against PML-N candidates for election fraud and rigging? In case it is too much to fathom for y'alls pea brains, PML-N lodged a total of 66 complaints with ECP and only a handful have been disposed till date.
An MPA terminated. Hence proved, Elections 2013 was biggest fraud in history of Pakistan. Hence, we demand new elections and let IK be our PM forever. Leave democracy, just do what we want.

Rigging takes place from all sides. Even if one sided magnitude is rarely so large that it can change results significantly.
