PESHAWAR: Two soldiers were injured when four rockets landed inside the Cantonment area in Peshawar in the early hours of Sunday.

According to the police, the target was apparently Bacha Khan International Airport.

However, all four rockets hit adjacent areas while one rocket landed inside a brigade office, leaving two soldiers injured.

“There is evidence that all the four rockets were fired from Ghundi Afghan Refugee Camp located in the jurisdiction area of Tehkal police station as opposed to the previous practice of targeting the airport from Sarband, Pishtakhara and Suleman Khel," a police official told The Express Tribune.

"This is a new development indeed,” added the police official.

He said both wounded soldiers were rushed to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) where their condition was said to be stable.

@msaeed: PMLn has a very poor record of handling healthy competition, worst a defeat. We go out and try to kill the opponent after cursing & swearing! Lol. Hopefully we learn like a successful student.

Its time Imran Khan turns his attention towards KPK. Though his cause for electoral reforms is just, his party's performance where in government is questionable. This is the second attempt on Peshawar airport. Post Karachi airport attack we expect nothing short of a pro-active approach from all stakeholders, yet not the first but this second attack. Sir please note though we desperately need electoral reforms, they won't do you much if you fail to deliver.

Also the government needs to come up with a plan to send the Afghans back, we already have enough of our problems
