The two are expected to give their statements regarding the clashes between the police and supporters of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, which killed close to a dozen and injured 80 others.
The tribunal summoned the health secretary today to present autopsy records and medico legal reports of the victims.
Regarding the possibility of the constitution of a joint investigation team to probe the clashes, the tribunal has asked for a report from the Punjab home secretary.
Furthermore, the Baitul Maal secretary has been directed to discuss compensation payments for the victims with the tribunal.
Pakistan Awami Tehreek stance
Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Dr Tahirul Qadri, while speaking to the media from London today, held Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif responsible for the clashes in Lahore on June 18.
Qadri said that the Sanuallah is not solely responsible for the clashes as he simply implemented the orders given to him by a higher authority.
The PAT leader said that the chief minister ordered the police to open fire on his supporters. Furthermore, he added that only Shahbaz and the prime minister have the power to carry out such orders.
Earlier, terming the removal of the former law minister as insufficient, Qadri claimed that the Shahbaz should resign.

Pakistan is suffering due to dirty politics of Imran & Qadri. Both are the production of Establishment. Both have taken numerous U Turns during their career as advised to them by their mentors.
@Urban Legend: Innocent protestors? They started throwing bricks and stones on police which backed off not once but three times, before it's final assault and victory over terrorists. I am ashamed of Nikka Mian Sahib who has laid down like a coward. He should stand up like a man and protect his police and bravest man from Faisalabad. I have no sympathy for anyone who disobeys law and attacks police. If police is ordering something unlawful, the only option an innocent person is get justice from courts. There is absolutely no other way.
Judicial commission should summon Shahbaz sharif first, and if they cant do that then they should accept their failure and resign.

I don't know about that but nothing is worse than cold blooded murder of 15 innocent civilians by N League and it is now taking revenge from ARY for accurate reporting of crimes of the N League government. This is fascism pure and simple.
On May 12, 2007, 80 people were brutally murdered on the orders of sitting government. No one resigned. Where was idiot Imran at that time?
It is the greatness and justice of PML-N that one of their important minister resigned. This gesture can never be expected from any other party in Pakistan. Long live PML-N.

This is just a sham. We are now facing a fascist government which will cold bloodedly kill innocent citizens and then completely deny the responsibility. Next it has banned a channel, which was transmitting the facts about the crimes of the ruling party, as well as banned any congregation in Islamabad. The current government is so afraid of civil discourse.

The judiciary are also victims of the game of patronage played by our political leaders...take a look at their salary + perks increase over a period of ten odd years granted by our Law Makers.

Those asking for FIR against Shahbaz and resignation, please answer the following:
If Shahbaz Sharif resigns, PML-N still remains the majority party and can appoint the CM. If he is to resign for he can influence investigation, then the replacement CM can do to. The demand therefore stands pointless. If resignation alone does not fulfill your demand, do you want Governor's rule? Street protests for complete removal of government? Re-elections because you failed to get elected last time around? Judicial commission is already there. Make allegations against the Judge's impartiality and abilities or appear infront of him and give testimony. 80+ injured means hundreds of PAT members as witnesses, dozens of policemen and dozens of politicians and bureaucrats, footage analysis, forensic analysis etc means easily 2-3 month long investigation. Do you want the investigation to happen or just resignation/removal so you can come into power by using dead bodies?Rana should be reinstated ASAP.
He did the right thing by taking action against the miscreants .

Nothing new. The entire excercise shall slow down once Allama lands in Pakistan and stand neutralised owing to incompetence of his handlers..
It may appear that Dr. Qadri want to make score on the death of innocent people just like PPP has done in the past. PAT claim the death toll which is far higher than the figure published by the authority. Is it difficult to issue details of all those who they claim to have lost their life, after all they were supporters of PAT? I wish to quote here what an earlier British Prime Minister said "put up or shut up". Having said this, PML-N has lost control of situation and therefore must assess consideration of removal of many top heads including Shabaz.

Govt needs to back Rana Sanullah. He did what he had to do: protect the country from miscreants who were taking orders from Canada.
The writ of the state had to be established at all costs and Pakistan cannot continually decline as a state.
