QUETTA: The Frontier Corps on Sunday killed more than 10 rebels of the outlawed Balochistan Republican Army (BRA) in Dera Bugti, officials said.
The operation in the district's Gandyari town, 250 kilometres southeast of Quetta, came just three days after troops killed 30 militants in the same area.
Officials said the town, close to the borders of Balochistan, Sindh and Punjab provinces, was the hub of a militant movement carrying out attacks on trains, bridges and security forces.
"We can confirm that 10 militants of the BRA have been killed in an operation in Gandyari today," Manzoor Ahmed, a spokesperson for the Frontier Corps, told AFP.
"The forces started operation against the BRA militants early in the morning after receiving information that they are hiding there," Ahmed said.
The death toll could not be independently verified.

Another brutal act of oppression of the Baloch people by the Pakistani army. Shouldn't Pakistan give the same right to self-determination that it is preaching for the Kashmiris? Are the Baloch less human than the Kashmiris?
They are militants and they are insurgents and terrorists too. And the one who is confronting them are the people from the same tribes who were originaly part of the Frontier constablary formed during colonial period. And then came the Pakistan military who said if any one fights and kills then it must be the military and the name of the Frontier Constablry was upgraded to Frontier Corprs and their commanders were no longer from the local tribes but from other parts of Pakistan. History will record this period as the most ihuman and barbaric one, a muslim soldier killing another muslim civilian carrying one of the aforesaid titles.

Great work from our tribal Pukhtoon, Baloch soldiers of the Frontier Corps to keep all Pakistanis safe from foreign proxies.
Security kill Taliban, Taliban kill security and so on and so forth... This could go on till the end of time. It is time to make your peace and settle the disputes. Since Pakistan is an Islamic nation, why not introduce Sharia law? Everybody is happy. Even Imran Khan will stop protesting.
