Save Larkana

Letter May 22, 2014
Larkana still looks like an underdeveloped village when you compare it with the mega cities of Pakistan.

LARKANA: Larkana city is famous in the whole world owing to the historical site of Mohenjo Daro and for the fact that it is the home of two former prime ministers; but, unfortunately, Larkana still looks like an underdeveloped village when you compare it with the mega cities of Pakistan. In the city, there is no traffic signal system and day by day, roads are becoming narrower because of an increase in the number of cars, specially the Bender Road, Royal Chowk and Bank Square Chowk, owing to which people are facing serious traffic problems. The education system is wrecked by a mafia which promotes cheating, residential areas are challenged by poor sanitation, leaking drains, uncovered gutters, spilled garbage, several hours of load-shedding and the list goes on.

I request the authorities, especially the PPP chairman, Mr Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, to save his mother city from these challenges.
