Negligence: IGP suspends DSP over poor investigation

The IGP subsequently called for the DSP’s suspension and an inquiry was ordered against him.

An inquiry into the case was conducted by Capital City Police Officer Peshawar which proved that the investigation was done half-heartedly and sufficient evidence was not collected.

PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) IGP Nasir Khan Durrani on Saturday suspended Special Branch DSP Hamidullah Khan over shoddy investigations in a case in which the accused was acquitted by the court due to lack of evidence.

An inquiry into the case was conducted by Capital City Police Officer Peshawar which proved that the investigation was done half-heartedly and sufficient evidence was not collected.

The IGP subsequently called for the DSP’s suspension and an inquiry was ordered against him.

This man is doing a brilliant job given the situation KP faces. law and order while still a major issue has improved significantly in the province. Really wish there were more like him posted in other provinces also.

The more old cops are fired the better. New faces need to come up. Who are honest with the people and their duty.
