Foot in mouth

Letter April 08, 2014
I still remember what she had once said about George Bush: “Poor George, he was born with a silver foot in his mouth.”

MANHATTAN, KANSAS, US: This is with reference to Asad Rahim Khan’s piece “The Vulgar President, in Youth and Retirement” (April 9). The governor of Texas that the writer has mentioned, who lost out to President George W Bush in the gubernatorial race, was the late Governor Ann Richards. She faced W’s dirty insinuations and mudslinging with bravery.

I still remember what she had once said about George Bush: “Poor George, he was born with a silver foot in his mouth.” Americans still have fun with that statement.
