Colours of spring: Flower, bird show attracts huge crowd

The 32nd Annual Spring Flowers and Birds Show 2014 opened at the Rose and Jasmine Garden on Friday.


A large variety of flowers including marigold, pansy and petunia are on display at the show, which was inaugurated by Capital Development Authority Chairman Maroof Afzal. Exotic birds and parrots have proved to be crowd pullers with visitors stopping to photograph

The three-day exhibition has been organised by the capital’s civic agency in collaboration with the Islamabad Horticultural Society.

Prizes will be distributed among winners at the concluding ceremony of the spring flowers and birds show.

Many government, semi-government and private organisations and individuals are participating in the flowers and birds show including the Islamabad Club, Pakistan Air Force Hospital, Allama Iqbal Open University, Arid Agriculture University and SUPARCO.
