Meera and Captain Naveed stand accused of filming a video clip that has “tarnished Pakistan’s image”.
An additional district and sessions judge on March 18 had issued the Mozang SHO a show cause notice and directed Meera and Captain Naveed to appear in court on March 25 (today).
The court had previously sought comments from the Mozang SHO but he had neither submitted the comments nor sent another official in his stead.
The judge had previously issued notices to the respondents but the process server said that their addresses were not correct.
Petitioner Shabbir Muhammad had said that he had watched the clip on January 20. The petitioner had requested the court to direct the Mozang SHO to register a case against them, submit a challan in court and get their names put on the Exit Control List.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till April 2.

"Keep it up". Keep what up? Keep up besharmi. Whoever thinks it is a right thing to show personal matters to the public is a "begharat". They should be punished for what they have done.
@SHARIQ: He is an airline pilot Mr Shariq. Before commenting verify first.
Mr. Mubasshar Luqman watched the whole video and ran a program on this topic. He must have seen it several times to make a one hour program out of it. open journalism for open society. Way to go Pakistan!!! isn't it what 'they' want from us "enlightened moderation".
Naveed is bangladeshi, bangladeshi law would not punish him and its not necessary for him to appear before a pak court for what he did in dhaka
Is it on youtube? Oh sorry it's forbidden in ur country.
@Malik: Well Mr.Malik you seems to me a great supporter of "Open Society". so, what if your own family shows such "openness". Will you be proud of them? I hope you will not be a hypocrite
@SHARIQ: He is captain - a pilot! Not a soldier... make correction
Pakistan's image is the most fragile thing second only to our ego that can easily be tarnished. Our image is never tarnished when OBL is caught in an army base, terrorists attack and kill many on GHQ, Naval bases, behead our foot soldiers, kill school going kids, women raped in public, surrendering the country and surrendering to terrorist killers but hidden pictures are like a bomb. With this court case even those who did not see the videos are now watching it.
This is just an excuse for holier-than-thou petioners and judges to watch Meera in action.
"Petitioner Shabbir Muhammad had said that he had watched the clip on January 20."
Mr. Saviour of Pakistan's Image just confessed to watching porn in court.
Our Judiciary has done wonders in small matters. LOL
Pak Fauj Zinabad - Here is also a Captain involved in defaming the country - Keep it up my No-Jawan
Is it not also illegal to watch this objectionable video clip?
Its all about how judges make money.
When Sunny Leone could do wrong things publically and no one says anything then why should Meera be arrested for a video that apparently leaked ( Yes she must've released it for publicity ) ? And on top of that how can they say it tarnished Pakistan's image? There are prostitutes openly walking on the streets of Karachi nowadays and the world knows it, doesn't that tarnish our image?
Pakistani Court should take action agaisnt the legislators, those are enjoying extramarital relationship in ' Parliament Lodges, Islamabad........Jamshaid Dasti disclosed
Is this for real? Hahah. The petitioner seems to be more attention hungry than Meera. Get a life Mr. Petitioner.
Seriously!? Is there nothing more important or pressing left to do then to arrest people for a leaked video?
Shows the priority....
Maybe half of the country should get notices too because they watch porn and "SPOIL" the environment. -.-
The stricter the prohibition, the sweeter taste the apples!
Neither the strict prohibition of the mythological allah could restrain Eva from biting in the forbidden fruit, nor violently prisoning her under a dark burqa could or ever shall chasten her nature.
Meera´s clip has in fact a moral lesson for the clergies, law enforcers and all of us who think critically. She and her lover are the repetition of the mythological Eva and Adam in the garden of Eden. Nothing has changed in the basic nature.
The question is, why do we demonize and hate our true nature? We all of us have sinned in our lives, either practically or mentally! And the one who hasn't is not a perfect human being!
Anxious to see where this case lead too & the clarifications provide by Meera. Just a thought what was actually the petitioner searching for on the internet that he found the video and than he watched the clip ;). good
"Tarnished the image of Pakistan"...... only these two people has to do with tarnishing image.....let me guess blood bank who are selling sodium water blood bag to the general public, a small girl was brutally raped and killed, a group of foreign tourist came to Pakistan and killed, a poor man commit suiside along with his children due to our genius policy making strategy, a group of fanatic people running loose in a country and government is begging for negotiation and list go on; these things have definitely increase the popularity of Pakistan................
You have women burning themselves infront of the CM house in an attempt to get justice, but apparently some video is what the courts think has "tarnished Pakistan’s image”. Shame on our justice system and its saddening priorities.
This warrant s against the idea of open soceity in Pakistan... Nice video Meera.. Keep it up. Awaiting more... Our courts should not cross its red lines... In no way their wonderful video impacts anyone.. Let our courts issue warrants for corrupt politicians and bureaucrats..
