Appeal to foreign ministry

Letter March 07, 2014
I request Pakistani embassy, foreign ministry & relevant authorities to take immediate action to save the man’s life.

SHARJAH: I want to draw the attention of the Pakistani embassy in the UAE, the Pakistan foreign ministry and relevant UAE authorities towards a very serious problem. About six months ago, in Al Ain city of the UAE, a young Pakistani driver met with a serious accident and was admitted to a government hospital. The driver had gone into a coma after the accident. A few days ago, the hospital management suddenly discharged him while he was still in coma and claimed that his employer company is not paying his medical expenses for him. The Pakistani community here has requested his company, the police and other authorities as well to pay his medical expenses and let him stay on in the hospital but no one has done anything to help the poor man out, who belongs to a very poor family.

I request the Pakistani embassy, the foreign ministry and the relevant UAE authorities to take immediate action to save the young man’s life, which is in jeopardy now after the action taken by the hospital. Currently, he is lying in a comatose condition, waiting to die. Please do something urgently. Those wanting to help can reach me at 00971-528012606 or at 00971-506264103.

Khurram Shahzad
