Successful bid: Wateen awarded operations contract

Wateen has been awarded a three-year managed services contract by SBP to provide VSAT Hub and Spoke operations

LAHORE: Wateen, a service provider in networking technology, solutions and services, announced that it has been awarded a three-year managed services contract by the State Bank of Pakistan to provide VSAT Hub and Spoke operations, field maintenance and technical support to connect its head office and 14 regional and branch offices. Wateen’s VSAT Bandwidth on Paksat Satellite will connect 15 SBP sites, aiding in reducing cost on distributed backend operations of the central bank. During this three year project, starting this month, Wateen Telecom will maintain Paksat satellite bandwidth and will provide 24-hour (SLA) services to the SBP.  “This achievement is a direct result of Wateen’s provision of best service quality to all its customers,” said Wateen Telecom CEO Naeem Zamindar.
