In his verdict on a petition filed by Advocate Sheikh Ahsanuddin, IHC Justice Shaukat Siddiqui said the former chief justice should be provided security on a par with former prime ministers.
In an earlier hearing on January 4, Siddiqui had said that adequate security should be put in place at Chaudhry’s residence. He had added that the bulletproof vehicle provided previously was ‘out-of-order’.
“Bulletproof vehicles from other government functionaries will also be taken back if the former CJP is not provided with a bulletproof car,” Justice Siddiqui had warned.
He had further observed that the government seemed vindictive towards the former CJP by not providing him enough security.

Sickening judiciary
Hi I am a tax payer, why I was not protected like a retired Chief Justice. I believe the allegation against him by Musharaff Govt is correct, he should present himself and his family for accountability. MGA
The office of the chief justice is the noblest of all institutions of the country.. Cfief Justice Choudry deserves to be provided with atleast the bullet proof if not the explove protected limousine.

I'm appalled by the nerves of this character. He used to liken himself with the Second Caliph, and throughout his tenure he appeased the terrorists. Why does he need any security? Mister you are now non-entity, learn to live with it.

This is a test case for the government of Nawaz Sharif. If as per constitution and rules and regulations the Ex.PCO CJ is entitled to a bullet proof car then he must be given that. On the other hand if rules and regulations do not permit this then to accede to the demand just to appease the judge would set a dangerous example. What the government will do if Siddiqui orders the government to allot President House or the Prime minister House to him and deploy 111 Brigade for his security. Moreover, the PCO CJ need not worry about his safety as among the whole top lot only he has been praised by the enemies of Pakistan and its people , the Taalibaans
This Judiciary is a joke! Honestly, I'm just baffled how Musharraf (the only honest leader) is being targeted for supposedly violating the constitution, while the Judiciary is expedited cases and passing judgements that essentially are extraconstitutional! Somebody do a show on the idiotic judgements of this sham justice group.

There are better and more appropriate ways to show one's loyalty than at the cost of our money and this judge Siddiqi must be reminded that. This man is infected with same harmful bugs that motivated the man he seems to idolize, he is no one to decide which government functionary is provided what facilities including security, let the parliament decide it. It's jyust another attempt at encroachment of executive power as well as legislative.

I demand a Dassault Falcon 7X for myself since I'm a taxpayer that is funding all these luxuries to be consumed by the government, judiciary, bureaucracy. They are enjoying all these perks and I'm getting to have to buy my own water in tanker, produce my own electricity and deal with so much problems just to make ends meet and pay the taxes. Who will pay the tax for this unconstitutional privileg when he is retired and no more serving to Pakistani people, if he feels insecure he should spend his own money and buy bullet prorf jeep or jet,we dont mind.

Vow! is this a tone and tenor of judge?? Ex CJ to be given security of a PM?? Judiciary should be careful and should not lose the little credibility they have by judges like this.
Justice Siddique what do judges have to fear if they have done their job with integrity?? And there is no need to use threats that cars will be taken away from others if ex-CJ does not get one. Ex-officers are not entitled to driver let alone a car that too a bullet proof. Everyone needs to come down from their high horse in a state that is bailed out by US taxpayers and IMF.
