HBO has finally announced the release date of the much anticipated fourth season of this critically-acclaimed fantasy drama. The show, based on a series of books by Goerge R R Martin called A Song of Ice and Fire, centers around a civil war in the fictional land of Westeros.

The show has not only gained a huge fan following in Pakistan, but has also caused quite some controversy due to its sensitive content. The series has won numerous awards and nominations, including a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Drama Series for all three seasons, and a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Television Series in the drama category.

The fourth season of Game of Thrones will premiere on Sunday, April 6. Will winter finally take over the land? Will the White Walkers wreak havoc?
