Kurram Agency explosion injures seven

PARACHINAR: An explosion in central Kurram Agency injured seven people on Tuesday.

An official of the political administration said the blast occurred in Sadda Bazaar around 10am. The explosive was planted near a shop and injured seven people. Injured victims were rushed to Civil Hospital Sadda, where one person identified as Khalid Khan was said to be in a critical condition.

At nearly 11pm on Monday, a roadside bomb exploded in Pewar, Kurram Agency. The incident critically injured a passerby Hussain Turi, political administration officials said.

The political administration has registered a case for both incidents and launched an investigation, but no one has been arrested as yet. So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attacks either.

On Monday, security forces arrested two militants and recovered bombs and rockets from their possession during a search operation. According to an official, the operation was conducted in Woth, central Kurram Agency, where they also recovered a huge cache of heavy weapons. The official added that the militants had been shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.
