Not a family park anymore

Letter December 30, 2013
Park management is not playing its role in maintaining an environment where parents feel safe bringing their children.

ISLAMABAD: About 15 years ago, Fatima Jinnah Park was constructed and, over time, came to be known as a place where one could take their families to for a picnic. But that is not so anymore. Last weekend, I went there with my family but had to return in a very short period of time because of the shameful activities of young couples present in the park. What is worse is that there was no one to stop them from doing whatever it is that they were doing.

As far as the management of the park is concerned, it is not playing its role in maintaining an environment where parents feel safe bringing their children without fear of them being exposed to any inappropriate activity. The CDA is kindly requested to look into this.
