BARA:

A volunteer of the Tauheedul Islam (TI) peace militia was injured and a vehicle was destroyed when a roadside bomb planted by unidentified militants exploded in Sheen Qamar in Bara, Khyber Agency on Saturday.

An official from the political administration said the volunteers were patrolling the area as they normally do. When they reached Matra, the improvised explosive device (IED) detonated, added the political administration official. The volunteer was identified as Shafiq, and was taken to Agency Headquarters Hospital. According to the official, the volunteer was severely injured.

In April, two volunteers of TI were killed when the TI and security forces engaged Lashkar-e-Islam militants in a joint advance movement in Jarobi. Heavy artillery was used on both sides in which a security official also died.
