According to Express 24/7 reporter Iftikhar Firdous, the militant was killed as a result of an exchange of fire erupted after militants attacked the check post, two other militants managed to escape after the attack.

The Bara Qadeem check post, located on Bara Road, leads to the tribal belt of the Khyber Agency and has been a target of two suicide attacks in the past.
